23rd Anniversary of the Linate Tragedy

Dear friends,

Twenty-three years have now passed since the tragedy that struck us. Once again, we will organize a day among us with moments of reflection and remembrance. 

The program is as follows:

Sunday, October 6

6:00 pm Opera concert at Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi - via Conservatorio,12

The program will be published on the website as soon as it is available.

This will be the institutional moment of our Anniversary program in which various authorities will participate.

We sincerely thank Mayor Giuseppe Sala, the entire Municipal Council of Milan, and the Conservatory Directors for offering us this great opportunity.

Tuesday, October 8

10:30 am Holy Mass at Sant'Ambrogio Basilica.

11:40 am Transfer by bus to visit the “Bosco dei Faggi”.

As every year, flowers will be laid and the candle will be lit.

The Holy Mass and the moment of reflection at the Bosco dei Faggi will be strictly private for the families, their friends and anyone who wishes to participate. No authorities will be present. 

For the evening at the Conservatory, each family of the victims can reserve all the seats they want.

Admission is free.

To organize reservations for the best seats, please let us know how many you need no later than Friday, September 27.  

Please remember that you can collect your tickets on the evening of the concert in the lobby of the Conservatorio. Giovanna and other volunteers will be present starting at 5:00 pm to hand out the tickets.

As every year, SEA is actively collaborating in the organization of the day and will provide buses for the transfer from Sant' Ambrogio Basilica to the “Bosco dei Faggi” and back.

To reach Sant'Ambrogio Basilica more easily, we suggest taking the Green Line Metro.
Sant'Ambrogio station is located right in front of the Basilica.
