On September 26, 27 and 28, 2011.the board of FSF visit Rome for meetings with ENAC and ENAV
An extraordinary meeting of the FSF (Flight Safety Foundation) Board of Governors will be held in Rome on September 26, 27 and 28, 2011. FSF is the world’s foremost expert in flight safety.
The meeting is usually held in FSF headquarters in Washington D.C., but for the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Linate accident, and on request of Paolo Pettinaroli, President of Foundazione 8 Ottobre 2001 per non dimenticare that was created by the victims’ families, the meeting will be held in Rome.
Paolo Pettinaroli is the first Italian ever to be nominated a member of the FSF Board of Governors, which is composed of top exponents and international experts of Civilian and Commercial Aviation.
His nomination rewards the great efforts of Foundazione 8 Ottobre 2001 that are expressed through its Technical Task Force for Flight Safety and the Protection of Passengers, an issue that is now universally recognized.
During the event, high profile meetings have been organized with ENAC, the Italian Aeronautic Authority, and ENAV, Provider of Italian Air Traffic Control Systems, to discuss issues and make a joint analysis of specific circumstances regarding the current situation in Italy and Europe and the development of Air Traffic expected in the Mediterranean area.
The absolute exceptionality of this meeting, held for the very first time in Italy, clearly acknowledges, better than any other consideration, the work that Fondazione 8 ottobre 2001has done over the years and the international respect it has achieved, the only association of its kind to receive this recognition.
