Icao, in collaboration with the Air Crash Victims 'Families' Federation International (Acvffi), has established February 20 as the International Day for the Remembrance of Air Accident Victims and their Families.

Aware of the importance of providing adequate assistance to victims' families, the international organization has adopted recommended standards and practices that national governments must implement so that timely and comprehensive information, assistance and resources are provided to accident victims and their loved ones in post-traumatic circumstances.
