7th Anniversary of the Linate Tragedy

Dear Friends,

Seven years have passed since the tragedy and, like each year, we want to organize a day of commemoration and reflection.

Here is the program:

Wednesday, October 8

• 10:30 a.m. Holy Mass at the S. Ambrogio Basilica
Celebrated by His Excellency Monsignor Franco Giulio Brambilla - Bishop Ausiliario of Milan
Choir: San Carlo Prep School
Soprano: Enrica Fassio

• 11:40 a.m. Transportation by bus to the “Bosco dei Faggi”.
Deposition of flowers and lighting of candles.

SAS is offering the floral arrangements and candles in the church and at the Bosco dei Faggi.

No events are scheduled for the afternoon.
The Committee headquarters will be open for your convenience from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Giovanna will be there until 7:30 p.m. to distribute the last tickets for the concert.

• 09:00 p.m. Memorial Concert at the La Scala Opera House

As usual, the city of Milan is offering the concert at La Scala.

This year’s program will be a concert directed by Maestro Bruno Casoni, with the participation of the La Scala Philharmonic Chorus and Orchestra, performing:

• Magnificat di Carlo Pedini per coro, campane, clarinetto e quartetto d’archi

• Chichester Psalms di Leonard Bernstein versione per coro, voce, organo, arpa e percussioni

We want to thank Mayor Letizia Moratti, the entire Milan City Council, and the La Scala Management for offering this great opportunity.

As every year, SEA is actively participating in the organization of this memorial day and will provide the buses that will take us to and from the S. Ambrogio Basilica and the Bosco dei Faggi.
