MEMBERS ASSEMBLY 2008

Dear Friends,

The 7th Annual Assembly of the 8 Ottobre Committee was held on Sunday, December 14, at Starhotel Splendido in Milan (See photos in the Photo Gallery).
Once again, Giorgio Picciriello presented an extensive report on committee activities in 2008. As usual, we accomplished many important things, even if the committee’s work is gradually decreasing due to the creation of the 8 ottobre 2001 Foundation, which organizes the events created to achieve our objective: safer air transportation.
Our auditor Dr. Carpaneda presented the 2007-2008 statement. Afterwards, Commander Radini, the head of the Foundation’s Technical Task Force, and Mr. Vittorio Floridia, another Task Force member, presented the programs and activities accomplished in 2007, and those scheduled for 2009. He also mentioned our success at the international conference in Berlin.
Since voting was not necessary because the candidates did not surpass the number required by the statute, the assembly was asked to reconfirm the old Executive Board by a show of hands. The only variation concerns the Press Officer, because Sara Avigo is on maternity leave. We thank Sara for her hard work and we wish her all the best.
Our new Press Officer is Elisa Ranzetta, who we warmly welcome.
Our auditor Dr. Andrea Zonca, who accompanied us for the past three years, is leaving us. We thank him his valuable assistance. We also want to welcome Dr. Federico Diomeda, who is taking his place.
