Monday, November 2, 2015, in Miami, Florida, the Flight Safety Foundation honored the memory of Paolo Pettinaroli with the annual "FSF President's Citation".

We are in sorrow as we announce the tragedy of Metrojet flight 7K-9268, destination St.Petersburg, which crashed this morning over Sinai. 224 passengers and crew were on board. Once again, our deepest sympathies and thoughts go out to their families.

A very sad event occurred today: two experienced pilots died this morning, in the accident of AgustaWestland AW609 tiltrotor prototype that crashed near Santhià (VC), northern Italy. Our deepest prayers and thoughts go to their families.
