“ASSISTENZA ALLE FAMIGLIE: UN APPROCCIO INTERNAZIONALE PER L’INDUSTRIA DEI TRASPORTI”
Questa conferenza di due giorni riunisce i membri delle famiglie, le agenzie per le indagini sugli incidenti, i rappresentanti dell’industria dei trasporti, agenzie governative ed i media per condividere prospettive su come migliorare, in base a quanto appreso dall’esperienza, le azioni atte a fornire assistenza familiare a coloro che hanno subito incidenti di trasporto in un contesto internazionale.
In concomitanza con il 15 ° anniversario dell’emanazione dell’Aviation Disaster Family Assistance Act e il 10 ° anniversario della circolare ICAO 285, la conferenza sarà un’ occasione unica per imparare direttamente da coloro che sono coinvolti in tutto il mondo in materia di assistenza familiare.
INTRODUZIONE
Dal 1974, quando il Congresso degli USA ha istituito il NTSB come un organismo indipendente, questo ha sviluppato una reputazione mondiale di probità e indipendenza nel campo delle indagini di incidente nei trasporti - ricercando le sue cause probabili e formulando raccomandazioni per le norme correttive, i regolamenti, le procedure per migliorare e salvaguardare la sicurezza dell’utenza nei campi di trasporto aereo, terrestre e marittimo, come per i gasdotti, incidenti ambientali e nello spazio.
Su iniziativa delle vittime e dei sopravvissuti di incidenti aerei, il Congresso approvò l’”Aviation Disaster Family Assistance Act del 1996”- e la successiva legislazione - la creazione dell’” Office of Transportation Disaster Assistance” unita al NTSB. Questa iniziativa è stata ulteriormente sviluppata in tutto il mondo nel 1998, quando il presidente della NTSB , Jim Hall, sostenuto dalla Spagna ha presentato una risoluzione dalla quale è scaturita la “Guida per l’assistenza delle famiglie delle vittime di incidenti aerei” ai 190 Stati membri dell’International Civil Aviation Organization.
